Posts from Clearcover's Recruiters Part 1: Our Hiring Process Explained
In 2021, Clearcover filled over 200 open positions across all departments and now, as the new year begins, we're continuing to scale our team. As a remote-first company, we're fortunate to recruit from a nationwide talent pool and are currently filling over 60 open positions. We're eager to welcome new Clearcover-ers to our team, and strive to make the hiring process as transparent and straightforward as possible for all candidates.
Over a series of blog posts this month, Clearcover's recruiting team will explain our recruiting process, introduce themselves and talk about their roles, and offer tips for job seekers on how to optimize their resumes and LinkedIn pages, prepare for Zoom interviews, and more.
For this post, we sat down with Talent Acquisition Manager Steven Cha, Recruiter Ryan Humenik, and HR Coordinator Olivia Paciga to fully detail Clearcover's hiring process.
Please describe Clearcover's recruiting process once an open role has been posted.
Once jobs are live on Clearcover's Careers page, applications will start to filter in that first week of the job being posted. Recruiters will review the candidate's resume and see if the skillsets match the role they are recruiting for. If a candidate is a match, recruiters will conduct an initial phone screen with the candidate. If the candidate passes the initial phone screen, they will advance to the next step, which will either be a Hiring Manager Call or Assessment stage. The candidate may receive an assessment created by the recruiting team after passing the initial phone interview. If the candidate passes the assessment/hiring manager interview, they will advance to a virtual face-to-face stage where they will meet with Clearcover team members. Once the interview has been completed, HR and the hiring committee will conduct a debrief, and decide on if they will extend an offer or not.
After an applicant applies for an open role, what can they expect?
After Clearcover receives multiple applications, recruiters will go through Greenhouse, our applicant tracking system, to see the overall candidate pool and move forward with candidates that fit the needs of the job. If the candidate passes the initial resume review, they will receive a calendly link invite to schedule the best suitable time for an interview based on the recruiter’s availability and the candidate’s availability. Then the interview process mentioned above will take place. Candidates can expect to receive an answer from a Clearcover recruiter about whether or not they will move forward in the interview/hiring process within one or two weeks.
What is the typical timeline for filling an open position?
Clearcover's timeline for filling a role will vary depending on the role itself, but recruiters do try to fill an open role within the first 30-45 days of posting the position.
