Employee Resource Groups at Clearcover

Clearcover's Equity Inclusion and Diversity Council (EIDC) strives to create a work environment where all Clearcover-ers feel heard and respected so they may show up to work as their complete selves and contribute to their maximum potential.  In order for everyone to feel comfortable enough to share their unique viewpoints, the EIDC announced the formation of Employee Resource Groups (ERG's), spaces where all employees can feel free to share their ideas and opinions with similarly minded colleagues. 

The goal of Employee Resource Groups is to continue to foster a sense of belonging and support for all employees by providing a setting for everyone to share their ideas, concerns, and opinions and provide support and mentorship.  ERG's allow members of various groups and their allies to come together in a dedicated Slack channel where they are able to develop and increase a sense of belonging at Clearcover.  

Any employee can initiate an ERG by signing up with the EIDC, opening a Slack channel, and inviting others to join.  As of this posting, Clearcover-ers have formed ERG's for:

Women in Insurance and Technology - This community, for those who identify as women in insurance and technology, works to provide inclusivity, resources for career development, and opportunities to engage and support external members in similar communities. 

Parents at Clearcover - Dedicated to the discussion of all things parenting and kids, members of this group have discussed the best spots for family vacations, the merits of Bluey, and functioning on little sleep.  Members post and support one another through all stages of raising children.  

Sage Solace - Clearcover's first ERG is a place where members of the LGBTQAI+ community can feel welcome and freely share ideas and concerns.  Members are active and quick to engage with each other, responding to questions, discussion threads, and photos.  The EIDC also re-shared posts from Clearcover's knowledge-sharing initiative during Pride Month in this group.    

As more Clearcover-ers initiate new Employee Resource Groups and join existing ones, we continue to deepen our connections with one another, whether we're working out of our Chicago headquarters or in home offices across the country.  The formation of ERG's is one of several ways our people-first culture fosters a work environment where everyone can contribute as their true selves, resulting in an increased array of ideas and opinions that fuels our innovation.  We invite you to bring your unique point of view to our team by applying for one of our 30+ open positions today!
