Pride Month 2024: Spotlighting Sage Solace's Pride Month Celebrations

To commemorate Pride Month, Clearcover’s Employee Resource Group (ERG), Sage Solace, which provides a safe and supportive environment for LGBTQIA+ employees and allies while fostering understanding and acceptance, hosted a variety of celebratory and educational events and initiatives.
Each week throughout June, members of Sage Solace shared Pride-related history and facts, including a breakdown of each color of the Pride flag and its meaning. The group also hosted an interactive game of “Jeopardy” entirely centered around LGBTQIA+ trivia. Clearcover-ers were also encouraged to use customized Pride Month Zoom backgrounds for company meetings.
To further spotlight the LGBTQIA+ community at Clearcover, we highlighted two of Sage Solace’s leaders on our social media platforms.
Our Underwriting Agent Joe Foord described how he celebrates Pride Month and offered ways for others to show their support: “During Pride Month 2024, I celebrate by educating myself on LGBTQ+ history and current issues, supporting queer artists and businesses, and participating in local Pride events or fundraisers such as The Trevor Project. Others can show support by actively listening to LGBTQ+ voices, advocating for equality, and being allies year-round, not just in June.”
Customer Advocate Jess Lawson shared the significance of Pride Month and Sage Solace, “Pride Month shines a light on varying challenges we in the LGBTQIA+ community might face so that we can support each other better. It is an opportunity to celebrate who we are and educate others on the importance of our history. Sage Solace is a safe space to share our experiences with members of the community and allies.”
