At Clearcover, we strive to build an inclusive and diverse community. That's why our employee resource groups (ERGs) are instrumental in driving initiatives that can expand our commitment. One such ERG, “Amigos”, is dedicated to supporting Clearcover’s vibrant Hispanic and Latino communities. And during Latinx Heritage Month (September 15th to October 15th), they went all out with a fantastic lineup of events.

We are excited to share that our Sage Solace ERG, which stands for Sexuality and Gender Equality in a Safe Space, has organized a series of engaging activities to celebrate the spirit of pride in a meaningful way.
Since Clearcover's Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Council (EIDC) launched Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) last year, Clearcover-ers across departments have created and joined spaces where they can interact with team members who share their common backgrounds or interests. The groups' Slack channels, which are open to anyone in the company, have quickly become sites of shared stories and photos, requests for advice, offers of support, and virtual large and small group meet-ups. Parents, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and women at Clearcover had all formed their own ERG's when Claims Manager Jerrell West recognized an opportunity for African American Clearcover-ers to have their own community.

Read MoreDays after Chicago's 2022 Disability Pride Parade took place just blocks from our headquarters, Clearcover's Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Council (EIDC) hosted their first Disability Pride Month panel. The panel continued the EIDC's mission to frame initiatives that recognize and celebrate all types of individuals. By increasing everyone's knowledge about communities outside of their own, the EIDC aims to create a workplace where everyone feels comfortable to show up and contribute as their true selves.

The panel, assembled by Clearcover's Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Council, included the CEO of a Chicago start-up, a PhD specializing in social work, and two of Clearcover's Inspired Underdog sponsored college athletes. Each panelist's unique story illustrated how they have shown courage in the face of adversity by overcoming challenges and achieving success in their respective fields and sports.
