Clearcover Connects Across 30 States

Over the past two years, Clearcover's team has more than doubled in size. As a remote-first company, we've had the great fortune of hiring top talent from across the country and, as a result, over 60% of our team members live outside of the Chicago area where our headquarters are located, and Clearcover-ers now reside in 30 states.
To bridge the gap from coast to coast, we gather together virtually as a company for our monthly All Hands and Wins meetings, to celebrate holidays, attend speaking panels, and participate in yoga sessions and mental health workshops. We meet with our teams and speak one-on-one over Zoom daily and are in constant communication via our Slack channels. In addition, many aspects of Clearcover's perks and benefits package are specifically tailored to support remote workers such as a monthly delivery from Snack Magic and a one-time stipend to set up our home offices.
Even with a wealth of opportunities to gather virtually, sometimes we all crave a face-to-face meeting, especially in these post-pandemic times. With this in mind, Clearcover's People Team set out to create a heat map to show where exactly we're dall located and, along with the #ClearcoverConnect Slack channel, to help facilitate local Clearcover meet-ups.
With the densest groupings in Chicago and Detroit, the base for our Customer Experience team, the heat map shows that Clearcover-ers can be found in clusters from the Los Angeles area to Massachusetts, Florida, Seattle, and numerous places in between.
As a result of posts in #ClearcoverConnect, separate Slack channels have branched off for Clearcover-ers in The San Francisco Bay area, Wisconsin, and Arizona. Plans for happy hours are in the works! Clearcover-ers are asking one another for recommendations when traveling, arranging to meet when they find themselves visiting a new city, and we all hope that our teammate in Hawaii has their guest room ready.
At Clearcover, our people-first culture places importance on maintaining a team that feels connected, no matter where we are. Whether discussing our opinions of The Batman with the 30 members of the Cinephile Slack channel, or gathering virtually with hundreds of our colleagues to celebrate our fifth anniversary, Clearcover-ers are constantly uniting in a remote world. And now, with our heat map and Slack chat threads, we'll add more opportunities to meet in-person than ever before.
